Buddy believed that educating yourself is the key to growing and thriving in this world. On the Pro Tour he saw too many young children let their education fall to the wayside, oftentimes to catastrophic effect. The Buddy Pelletier Foundation awards a minimum of three (3) Scholarships per year to members of the East Coast surfing community.
Anyone of any age wanting to continue their education is eligible to apply. We believe in lending scholastic assistance to members of the East Coast surfing community in the hopes of enabling excellence in and out of the water. We are extremely proud of our 100% graduation record.
We offer 3 Scholarships per year. The Starke Family Excellence Award for the student who meets our expectations in excellence in education. We have the Scott Grady Community Leader Award for the student who meets our standards of being a well rounded student who has proven track record of deep involvement in helping their community. And then we have the Capt. David Styron Waterman’s Award for the student who shows the best all around quest for excellence in and out of the water.
While anyone of any age has been eligible to apply for the BPSF Scholarship we are proud to announce we will soon be adding a 4th Scholarship dedicated to Trade School students of all ages and circumstances.
